New state Web site helps Kentuckians in tough economic times

(October 2008) The State of Kentucky is introducing a new resource to help Kentuckians during a time of economic uncertainty. A new Web site, www.assistance.ky.gov is a one-stop-shop where people can find every form of public assistance available in one easy, accessible place. The Web site links to information about a variety of programs and help on issues such as paying bills, finding a job and holding onto a home if or when foreclosure is threatened. Areas addressed include financial assistance, staying healthy, taking care of Kentucky's kids, staying in your home, and job resources. Visit http://assistance.ky.gov/ for more information and to find help.
