Informal Assistance - available to all programs and providers in the community.
 
  1. Orientation session: Sessions ar
    e designed to give an overview of the accreditation process. These are offered throughout the year in our service delivery area.
  2. Accreditation networks: Monthly networking sessions are held for program representatives to share challenges and successes.
  3. Technical Assistance: Accredita
    tion specialists are available to provide information via phone and e-mail.
Formal Projects - facilitated by a project coordinator who provides support and resources but is not an active participant in the self-study process.
 
  1. Eligible programs
    work together in groups of eight to 15 over the course of one to two years.
  2. Monthly accreditation meetings provide networking opportunities and administrative workshops.
  3. Monthly on-site visits conducted by the project coordinator are crucial for observation, technical assistance and follow-up to previous program workshops.
  4. Ongoing technical assistance is provided by the project coordinator through program visits, written documentation and phone or e-mail.
  5. Workshops with topics generated through monthly meetings and on-site visits are designed to meet the needs of individual programs.
  6. Grants, if available, can be used to purchase self-study materials, pay site visit fees (part or full payment), or buy materials and supplies for program improvement.
4C Accreditation Assistance Goals
 
  • Support programs by providing resources, workshops, and individual consultation throughout the accreditation process.
  • Provide opportunities and experiences for participants to enhance their professional development.
  • Provide workshops that expose programs to new skills and ideas that will allow them to apply Developmentally Appropriate Practices in their program.
 
  • Maximize the number of children who participate in programs providing quality care and education.
  • Foster an environment of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Create community awareness and consumer demand for quality care and education.
